You will:
* prepare management and statutory accounts

Your profile:
* 2 to 5 years experience in accounting or external audit
* Luxembourg or IFRS experience is required
* good knowledge of Luxembourg Company Law, Company Secretarial and Taxation matters
* understanding of foreign exchange and interest rate risk
* client oriented attitude
* outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English

Senior Compliance Manager - 12 Month Contract
Introduction:
Our client is a major international Fund Management company. In their European head quarters based in Luxembourg we are recruiting for a senior compliance manager for a 12 month contract.
The compliance team in Luxembourg is responsible for providing compliance consultancy, monitoring and advisory services to all of their European operations in multiple locations through central, Western and Northern Europe.
The department's role is to provide an excellent compliance service, promoting a strong compliance culture and enhancing the effectiveness, long-term profitability and reputation of the business..
Job Description:
Work with local business partners in all European locations as defined to facilitate on-going compliance of their systems/procedures/processes with relevant statutory, contractual and internal regulations, and provide general compliance support.
Analyse ongoing Regulatory Requirements and Conduct of Business Rules - establish action plans and responsibilities and assist the business in developing relevant procedures and processes. Furthermore, analyse and assess implications of new regulatory developments and advise/support the business accordingly.
Assist the European Business in all distribution and marketing related compliance queries; ensure that feedback to business areas is helpful, accurate and timely. Undertake marketing sign off where required.
Support Operational Departments by answering queries and solving problems.
Provide compliance support to Product Management, Legal Services and the business in connection with project activities relating to Luxembourg based products .
Assess training needs - provide support to the business. Undertake training.
Input into the design and carry out a comprehensive compliance monitoring plan, participating in implementing regulatory risk controls.
Conduct reviews; document findings conclusions and provide recommendations.
Monitor legal and regulatory developments in the relevant jurisdictions and at the European level (specifically CESR), sharing with the Compliance team as well as the business on key changes.
Proactively interpret the rules and regulations in a business friendly way whilst ensuring Fidelity’s reputation and interests are fully protected.
Respond to Customer Complaints.
Manage relationships with Local Regulators, Authorities or Trade Associations as required.
Assist in the preparation of Board and other reports to the senior team.
Participate in cross-site & cross-functional compliance projects.
Essential skills:
• 3-5 years experience in Fund and Investment Compliance or similar function
• Knowledge of European Fund Industry Regulation is required
• Fluent in written and spoken English
• Swedish, Dutch and French desirable
• Pro-active team player with the ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral and able to communicate at all levels
• Strong organizational skills, with ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines while working in a high pressure environment
• Educated to graduate level – legal background would be an advantage
